This is a truly gorgeous salt glaze jug, handmade in the Alsace region of France.<br>It has a décor of cobalt blue flowers and swirling stylised green leaves on a blue-grey stippled background.<br>The small pedestal base is also cobalt blue.<br>Holds half a liter.<br>It stands about 13cms (just over 5 inches) tall.<br>Stamped ‘Gres d’Alsace’ on the base.<br>Excellent vintage condition.<br>Would be a great addition to a collection, and can be used as a pitcher or a vase.
